The article is actually much more than that as I used a position taken, now some years ago, by Dr. Leon Kass on these issues to explore and help introduce into the ethics language, as he did, the language of emotion.
I hope, with this paper, to further a serious attempt to ground ethics and philosophy in a marriage of reason and emotion.
Dr. Kass brought emotion into the cloning debate by speaking of repugnance.
I draw almost exclusively on the philosopher/psychologist Silvan S. Tomkins but also on Martha Nussbaum and and Lloyd DeMause.
